Combustion analysis is the ultimate testing method for IC engines. C.A. (combustion analysis) is a system that uses a crankshaft driven encoder (the encoder measures crankshaft position to less than 1/2 of 1 degree) and high speed pressure transducers in the combustion chamber allowing pressure measurement in 1 engine revolution. This information allows you to see instantaneous horsepower and torque directly from the pressure, free from frictional losses. Pressure mapping also reveals cylinder to cylinder imbalances (in multicylinder engines) and allows peak cylinder pressure to be exactly placed in the combustion cycle revealing the need for a possible ignition timing change.
Many other uses for the system include waveform analysis of intake and exhaust systems, dynamic reed valve lift measurements, dynamic intake and exhaust valve measurements, fuel injection mapping, ignition timing mapping, and more. The system works equally well on 2 or 4 stroke engines.

DYNO TUNING
Dyno tuning is as much an art as it is a science . Most anyone can make numbers on a dyno but only experiance can interperate those numbers and make the nessisary changes to increase performance . JMS uses a computer comtrolled dynomometer system taking the power directly
from the countershaft . Taking the power directly from the countershaft eliminates many frictional losses inheriant with a rear wheel chassis dyno . Computer controlling the dyno increases repeatability and accuracy and the analsys software finishes system allowing the data to be viewed and used to increase performance .
